New Zealand is a fantastic place to vacataion. For the adventurous you have ice climbing or for the tame at heart you have simple walks on the beach, to shopping. So much to do at every major town, it's very easy to miss something. Make sure you bring plenty of film and memory cards.
I will covering the highlights of the activities on the North and the South Island. Starting at the capital city of Auckland, down the bottoom of the South Island. There is way to much to see and do when you travel here, but I will try to get all the high points.

Check out my New Zealand Travel Blog where I have local events, activities and NZ Wines reviews.

Touring New Zealand

When you get off the plane in Auckland Internatinal Airport you will notice right off the bat that New Zealand is overflowing with culture. And the postcard views everywhere you turn. The biggest change you will see is the side of the road they drive on. Apollo Car Rentals is one of the best places to get a rental with the streering wheel on the oppisite side. I think  campers is the best way to go. You can wake up anywhere, the forrest, the beach, or along side a padduck somewhere with thousand sheep. Its easy after you have done it a few times, but the New Zealanders are use to tourist coming over a trying to drive on the roads. You will soon notice that as you drive around from town to town, everything is clearly marked. Not just the towns, but all the attractions and things to do.

I plan to walk you through all the major hightlights through both islands. North Island, where the capital city Auckland and where the majority of the population lives. Hitting all  the major tourisim attractions on the way down the island to Wellington. Then across to the South Island on the Interislander (shown  above). A great way to see some of the coast is on the 3 hour crossing. Setting off from Picton, down through Christchurch and ending up in Milford Sound.
